东方中文学校宗旨 Objectives：
▪ 为多元化的社区的居民提供学习中国语言文学，了解中国传统文化的机会和场所；
To provide the opportunities and environments for learning Chinese language and
cultural knowledge to the children and adults in diverse communities;
▪ 促进中国文化和其它族裔文化的相互认同，交流与融合；
To promote awareness of, cultural exchange, and common understanding between Chinese
and other cultures worldwide;
▪ 开设中文教育课程和举办文化交流活动，为大芝加哥地区的居民提供中国语言，文化，艺术，体育和其它特殊课程，以满足社会各阶层对中文教育的需求；
To develop Chinese educational and cultural exchange programs, such as language,
culture, art, sports, and other extra-curriculum activities, to meet the needs of
all ages for Chinese education;
▪ 寻求同政府和其它非政府机构的合作和支持，举办多种语言文化的短期培训班，为多元化的社区提供一个相互了解，学习，认同和融合的平台。
To seek support from government and other non-government organizations to sponsor
short-term multi-language and cultural programs, as to provide a platform for mutual
understanding and appreciation in our multicultural society.

Dongfang Chinese Education Institute is devoted to provide a Chinese educational
environment with proper organizational structure, highest teaching standards, fare
tuition and fees, and open financial planning and records. This is a Chinese school,
through democratic participation and management, for the common goals of all students,
parents, and teachers.
